2015 Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast
The City of St. Peters hosted the 2015 Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast on April 17 to honor our many wonderful volunteers.
The “Superhero” theme for this event was fitting—our volunteers often “save the day!” In 2014, 213 City volunteers and 416 episodic (one time for special events) volunteers donated 7,074 hours!
The St. Peters Volunteer Program screens, places, develops and coordinates our volunteers, matching them with positions that meet their interests. In turn, volunteers provide an invaluable service. “Volunteers are essential to the success of our events, our programs and even day-to-day operations,” Volunteer Specialist Jessica Heslin said.
This year, 13 volunteers were recognized with Presidential Volunteer Service Awards for reaching 100 hours of service in 2014. Those award winners are Luvenia Henry (548 hours), Joan Smith (220.5), Rita Konertz-Lee (167.5), Lisa Babikian (158), Debbie Needham (153), Julie McMahon (151.25), Claire Foster (144), Laura Bruhy (119.25), Mary Beth Rogers (114), Joe Mudrovic (113), Janet Fischer (111.75), Kyle McGinley (110), and Rosalie Amormino (108).
