2021 SUMMER ART EXPERIENCE CAMPS

*No camp the week of July 5-9. 

**Before (7-9 a.m.) & After (3:30-6 p.m.) Care is available at St. Peters Rec-Plex. 

 

2017 Summer Art Camp-Little Girl 


Do you have a young, budding artist at home who loves to draw, color and create to their heart's content? Why not give them an "Art Experience" at the Cultural Arts Centre's summer art camps? Let your kids unleash their creativity (and energy!) at one of three types of weeklong art camps including Themed Drawing/Painting Camps, Clay Camps or Fencing Camp.

 

All Art Experience Camps will meet at the Cultural Arts Centre located in the west wing of St. Peters City Hall. YOUR FIRST TIME REGISTERING FOR 2021 ART EXPERIENCE CAMP MUST BE COMPLETED IN PERSON AT THE ST. PETERS REC-PLEX, 5200 MEXICO ROAD. Once in-person registration is completed, all future camp registrations for the year can be completed online through Rec-Connect. CLICK HERE for more registration information. You must present a current Resident Privilege Card to receive resident rates.

2017 Summer Art Camp-Little Girl Painting

THEMED DRAWING/PAINTING CAMPS 

Ages 6-12 • 8 weeks 

 

$129 St. Peters Resident/Rec-Plex Member
$155 General Public

 

Kids will get to explore a variety of art media and technique with different projects and themes every week. These camps will also feature the following regularly scheduled special activities every week:

 

  • 10:45 a.m. Tuesdays: Artists present special art demonstrations
  • 10:45 a.m. Wednesdays: Plein air (open air) painting outside (as weather permits)
  • 2:30 p.m. Fridays: Weekly art show

Rec-Plex-Summer-Camp-2017-group

 
Rec-Plex Summer Activities Camp provides a safe, enjoyable opportunity for kids ages 6-12 to meet new friends, play games, and enjoy plenty of Rec-Plex activities such as swimming, diving, ice skating and more. Campers enjoy both the St. Peters Rec-Plex and beautiful City Centre Park. Camp fees include a T-shirt and weekly field trip. The camp is staffed with qualified personnel who develop and coordinate activities/games and supervise the camps.

 

Camp meets from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m., and runs in one-week sessions. Before and After Care is available before (7-9 a.m.) and after (3:30-6 p.m.) our normal camp hours. 2021 REC-PLEX SUMMER SPORTS CAMPS

St. Peters Rec-Plex

St. Peters Rec-Plex Sports Camps offer kids a chance to play their favorite sport and also enjoy other Rec-Plex activities, such as swimming and ice skating, and fun outdoors in City Centre Park. Camp fees include a T-shirt and weekly field trip. Campers play in their own age group, for a chance to meet new friends. Before and after care is available. Limited openings are available so sign up early! YOUR FIRST TIME REGISTERING FOR 2021 SUMMER CAMPS MUST BE COMPLETED IN PERSON AT THE ST. PETERS REC-PLEX, 5200 MEXICO ROAD. SPORTS CAMPS • Ages 7-12 • $150 St. Peters Resident/Rec-Plex Member, $180 General Public

 

 

Baseball Camp

Oil your gloves and join us for fun on the diamond. Campers will enjoy America's pastime as they hit, field, throw and scrimmage against each other.

 

Basketball Camp
Here’s a slam dunk for summer fun: If your child loves basketball, this camp will build up skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and defensive/offensive positioning.

 

Cheer Camp
Let’s hear you cheer! Campers will learn the fundamentals of cheering, short spirit routines, and basic cheerleading moves. (No tumbling or stunting.)

 

Dance Camp

Try dance — learn some fun moves and feel the music!

 

Dodgeball Camp

Your favorite P.E. game is now a camp! Learn how to duck, dive, dip, chuck and DODGE a ball. You will play a variety of games that will lead to a dodgeball tournament. (We use soft gator balls.) 

 

Flag Football Camp

Campers are you ready for some football? Your child will work on passing, receiving, defensive/offensive plays and get an overall understanding of flag football.

 

Soccer Camp

Have fun playing recreational soccer and learn new skills! We emphasize teamwork and good sportsmanship.

 

Volleyball Camp

Bump, set, spike and have fun! Your child will learn the fundamentals of volleyball on our indoor courts.

 

Rec-Plex-Camp-Soccer 

 

SPECIALTY SPORTS CAMPS • Ages 7-12 • $210 Resident/Rec-Plex Member, $252 General Public 

Rink Rats Summer Hockey Camp

Rink Rats will keep cool and gain extra ice time each day during this camp. We’ll develop agility, balance, speed and teamwork, plus have fun playing different mini-games and drills! Campers must have basic hockey experience and full equipment is required to participate.

 

Beginners Ice Skating Camp
Stay cool and learn to ice skate with lessons, on-ice games and free skating, crafts, and fun off-ice activities each day. You will also learn and practice a skating routine to perform at the end of the week. No experience required, we provide the skates and all the fun. Camp is for the brand new skater through the Pre-Alpha level.

 

Learn to Skate Ice Skating Camp
Skaters get extra ice time each day to continue to develop skating skills they have been learning in group and private lessons. Plus an introduction to choreography, artistic skating, ice dancing, and synchronized skating. Camp is for the Alpha - Delta level skaters only. Skaters must have passed the Pre-Alpha level.
