Rec-Plex Reopens Tomorrow after Flooding, Limited Schedule and Facility Options Available; Some City Parks, Facilities and Amenities Remain Closed; Trash and Recycling Collection Resumes with Schedule Delayed by One Day This Week

After closing on July 26 due to storms and flooding across the region, the St. Peters Rec-Plex is reopening the following facilities tomorrow, July 27:

 

  • The Rec-Plex Lobby, including Front Desk, Registration & Tot Drop
  • Summer Camps (excluding ice skating camp)
  • Cardio Room, Weight Room, and Indoor Track
  • Adult Locker RoomsThe Cove & Laurel Park Pool

 

While the City continues to monitor the storm’s impact, several other facilities and amenities will remain closed until storm damage can be addressed.

 

The following Rec-Plex facilities will remain closed tomorrow, July 27:

 

  • Rec-Plex Natatorium
  • Rec-Plex South Ice Rinks (including skating camp)
  • Lower aerobics room & Dynamic Training Room
  • Rec-Plex North Gymnasium
  • All fitness classes, basketball and pickleball are also canceled.

 

 

St. Peters Earth Centre is expected to be closed through at least Thursday, July 28, 2022. Recycle City remains closed to the public. Tuesday’s regularly scheduled trash and recycling pickup will be delayed to Wednesday, July 27, and the regular schedule will resume for the rest of this week.

 

The St. Peters Golf Course is also expected to be closed through at least Thursday, July 28, 2022. The City will evaluate conditions and estimate clean-up time once the water has receded. The Water’s Edge Banquet Center is unaffected and remains open.

 

370 Lakeside Park is currently closed to the public due to inaccessibility to several amenities. Campers are still allowed in the RV pods. Conditions will be evaluated tomorrow morning, July 27, 2022.

 

Several other City parks are currently closed due to the storm:

  • City Centre Park
  • Jack Gettemeyer Park
  • Olde Towne Park
  • Rabbit Run Park
  • Woodlands Sports Parks
