Anyone in St. Charles County who can benefit from helpful information and resources for seniors should circle this date on their calendar: Oct. 2. That’s when the 2021 St. Charles County Senior Fair will take place at the St. Peters Cultural Arts Centre between 9 a.m.-noon.
The free event also will offer health screenings and several types of vaccines thanks to the St. Charles County Department of Public Health.
Family members are encouraged to attend!
The Senior Fair will have:
- Plenty of vendors who can speak with older adults about a wide variety of important topics.
- Vaccines for COVID-19, Hepatitis A and influenza.*
- Screenings for blood pressure, height, weight, and blood glucose.*
- Raffle prizes and light refreshments.
*The St. Charles County Department of Public Health will offer the vaccines and health screenings during the event. Bring your health insurance card to the Senior Fair if you are interested in the flu vaccine. The Hepatitis A and COVID-19 vaccines as well as the health screenings will be provided free of charge. The COVID vaccines are available for anyone eligible on Oct. 2 for a vaccine or an immunocompromised third dose. The Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna COVID vaccines will be available. (The County Health Department is working to also offer the one-dose Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) product but cannot yet confirm its availability.)
The Senior Fair is hosted by the St. Peters Senior Advisory Committee.
