A City of St. Peters road project will improve safety on Jungermannn Road north of Willott Road near Anthony’s Produce. Work to install a high-friction surface treatment is planned overnight beginning Thursday, June 11, 2020, at 7 p.m. Completion is expected by 7 a.m. the next morning.
The project will require lane closures throughout the night. Please use caution when driving through the work zone.
The new surface will provide for safer travel through this curved portion of Jungermann.
Other safety enhancements are planned for this area of Jungermann. A push button activated flashing pedestrian crossing sign will be installed at the Jungermann intersection with Garden Valley Drive and Spencer Creek Apartments’ entrance. Pedestrians will be able to activate a beacon light to signal to drivers on Jungermann when they are crossing the street. Reflective, inlaid pavement markers also will be installed on Jungermann to improve lane visibility.
