Get an inside look at some famous city landmarks when you register for a day trip to St. Louis Architectural Treasures from 9:15 a.m.-4:15 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019.
The tour, which costs $99, will depart from the Cultural Arts Centre parking lot on the west side of City Hall at One St. Peters Centre Blvd. All tours are guided by Linda Koenig.
Among the stops will be the legendary Fox Theatre, the Central Library and the Soldiers’ Memorial and Military Museum.
The “Fabulous Fox” hosts more than 200 performances and special events each year, and was recognized by the National Trust of Historic Preservation with a National Trust Honor Award in 1983. The renovated Central Library is a historic treasure designed by renowned architect Cass Gilbert in 1912. The restored Soldiers’ Memorial and Military Museum was dedicated in 1936 by President Franklin D. Roosevelt and honors soldiers who were killed in World War I.
Tourists also will enjoy a delicious cafeteria-style home-cooked lunch at the popular Sweetie Pie’s Restaurant in the Grand Avenue Theatre District.
