Number of Lanes on Country Creek at Jungermann to Drop from Three Lanes to Two during Intersection Construction

October 2, 2019
Construction will soon begin on improvements at the intersection of Country Creek Drive and Jungermann Road. During reconstruction of the intersection, the number of lanes on Country Creek Drive will be reduced from three to two. One lane for entering and one lane for exiting Country Creek subdivision will be maintained at all times. This lane restriction is expected to begin Thursday, Oct. 3, 2019, weather permitting, and last several weeks.

One half of the Country Creek Drive and Jungermann Road intersection will be replaced at a time. This work is part of the Jungermann Road Bridge Replacement project. The project will reduce the chances of roadway flooding by raising a portion of Jungermann Road and providing a larger bridge. The project also will provide sidewalk and trail improvements, including a trail connection under the new bridge.

Work continues on construction of a new bridge structure on Jungermann Road north of Country Creek Drive. The west side of the bridge, roadway and sidewalk improvements are scheduled to be completed later this fall. At that time, a dedicated left-turn lane will be provided for northbound Jungermann traffic to turn on to Country Creek. The entire Jungermann Road Bridge Replacement project is slated for completion in spring of 2020.

Drivers are asked to obey the posted speed limit and use caution when traveling through work zones.
