Celebrate St. Peters Main Stage Entertainment

May 24, 2019

The 2019 edition of Celebrate St. Peters Main Stage entertainment will feature award-winning classic rock and country artists, hometown favorites and a rising country star making her national, big-stage debut on the festival stage in St. Peters. Celebrate St. Peters will be Sept. 20-21, 2019, at 370 Lakeside Park in St. Peters. The entertainment lineup was announced at the St. Peters Board of Aldermen work session May 23.

Friday night’s headliner will be Sawyer Brown. The band has had three No. 1 hits, including “Some Girls Do,” “Step by Step,” and “Thank God for You,” along with numerous other Top 20 hits. Sawyer Brown has won an Academy of Country Music Award for best vocal group.

Opening for Sawyer Brown will be rising country star Alyssa Lynn Little, who will make her national, big-stage debut at Celebrate St. Peters. Little is from upstate New York and her song, “All Over,” is available wherever you stream your music.

Friday night’s Main Stage entertainment begins at 7 p.m. with local favorite Contagious marking the band’s return to Celebrate St. Peters for the second consecutive year.

Mid Rivers Newsmagazine, 100.7 The Viper and KFAV-FM 99.9 are the sponsors of the Main Stage entertainment Friday night.

Saturday evening features a once-in-a-lifetime concert event for classic rock fans and a group that calls the St. Louis region home. This year is the 50th anniversary of the formation of classic rock mainstays Head East and the 45th anniversary of the release of its No. 1 album “Flat as a Pancake.” To mark these milestones, original band members are reuniting with the current touring band for a performance that will include the entire “Flat as a Pancake” album. This will be the only big-stage performance of the album, with the original band members, in the St. Louis area this year.

If you’re a Journey fan, you won’t want to miss the opening act on Saturday night. SFO, a tribute to Journey with a salute to Foreigner and Kansas, will hit the stage at 7 p.m. Sept. 21. The band features six top-notch musicians with decades of touring experience from Nashville, Florida and Minnesota. Following SFO’s opening set will be a brilliant fireworks display over the beautiful lake at 370 Lakeside Park and then Head East will take the stage for its performance to close out the weekend.

Saturday night’s Main Stage entertainment is sponsored by KSHE-95.
