Lawn Mowing Assistance Available for Qualifying Elderly or Disabled St. Peters Residents

Applications for the City of St. Peters’ Lawn Mowing Assistance Program will become available Monday, Feb. 4, 2019. The program provides lawn mowing assistance for a limited number of St. Peters residents who are elderly or disabled and meet income guidelines. Applicants who are accepted into the program will be able to have their lawns mowed for them up to eight times this year, improving the livability and appearance of homes in St. Peters.

 

To be eligible for the St. Peters Lawn Mowing Assistance Program, everyone living in the home must be a resident of St. Peters and at least 62 years old or severely disabled. Applicants are required to provide proof of income as well as proof of age and/or disability. The maximum household income based on 2018 or most recent federal taxes must not exceed: $26,900 (1 person); $30,750 (2 people); $34,600 (3 people); or $38,400 (4 people).

You can also request ahead of time to have an application mailed to you after Feb. 4 by calling 636-279-8279 and choose option 4. When calling, be sure to spell your name and street address and leave a contact phone number. Completed applications with required documents must be returned to St. Peters City Hall before 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 15. Applicants may also email their completed applications with required documents to communityprojects@stpetersmo.net.

 

The City received Community Development Block Grant funds for this program from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Funds will be disbursed based on lowest income first.
