The City of St. Peters is scheduled to begin construction to widen Mid Rivers Mall Drive from Dye Club Road to Cottleville Parkway on Monday, Oct. 29, 2018.
This is part of the Mid Rivers Mall Drive Corridor Improvements project to improve safety and reduce congestion on Mid Rivers Mall Drive. The project will add a center left turn lane, as well as provide dual left turn lanes from northbound Mid Rivers Mall Drive on to southbound Cottleville Parkway and from eastbound Cottleville Parkway on to northbound Mid Rivers Mall Drive.
A new 10-foot wide, separated, multi-use trail will also be installed along the west side of Mid Rivers Mall Drive, along with ADA-compliant, accessible sidewalk and traffic signal improvements. In order to make these improvements, the project will also involve widening of the bridge over Dardenne Creek.
The road construction will require temporary lane closures and changing work zones throughout the duration of the project, which is scheduled to be completed in June 2019.
Drivers are asked to use caution, slow down and observe all traffic signs when traveling through work zones.
