From animals, flowers and trees, to more fantastical things such as fairies and unicorns—the possibilities of artwork to submit to the Enchanted Forest Art Show and Competition are endless, as long as it is something that can be seen in a forest. St. Peters Cultural Arts Centre is looking for entries for the show, which will be on display June 28-Aug. 19, 2018.
The artwork, ranging anywhere from amateur to professional, will be received Monday, June 25, between 9 a.m.-8:30 p.m. at the Cultural Arts Centre. Go online to www.stpetersmo.net/arts
to download copies of the entry form and cards to accompany your entries. The opening reception will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 28, at the Cultural Arts Centre.
The show is open to youth and adult, beginner and experienced artists. The cost to enter as an Arts Centre member is $15 for up to four pieces. Non-members can submit up to three pieces for $20. The youth entry fee is $5 per piece. Youth entries are divided into elementary, middle school and high school categories, with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons given in each.
Cash prizes are given out for the rest of the categories (painting/drawing, mixed media and photography), including Best of Show ($100), 1st place ($50), 2nd place ($25) and 3rd place ($15), as well as Honorable Mention ribbons. All artists are also encouraged to sell their artwork while it’s on display.
The St. Peters Cultural Arts Centre is in the west wing of St. Peters City Hall at One St. Peters Centre Blvd., St. Peters, MO.
