Landscapes are often popular subjects for artists, but beauty can be found in cityscapes and streetscapes, too. Whether you’re an amateur or a professional, St. Peters Cultural Arts Centre is looking for entries for its “Cityscape or Streetscape” Art Show and Competition, which will be on display from May 3-June 24, 2018. All works submitted must contain things seen on a street or in a city.
Artwork will be received on Monday, April 30, between 9 a.m.-8:30 p.m. at the Cultural Arts Centre. CLICK HERE
to download copies of the entry form and cards to accompany your entries. The opening reception will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 3, at the Cultural Arts Centre.
The show is open to youth and adult, amateur and professional artists. The cost to enter as an Arts Centre member is $15 for up to four pieces. Non-members can submit up to three pieces for $20. The youth entry fee is $5 per piece. Youth entries are divided into elementary, middle school and high school categories, with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons given in each.
Cash prizes are given out for the rest of the categories (painting/drawing, mixed media and photography), including Best of Show ($100), 1st place ($50), 2nd place ($25) and 3rd place ($15), as well as Honorable Mention ribbons. All artists are also encouraged to sell their artwork while it’s on display.
