Award-winning performers Deborah Sharn and Carolbeth True will take you back in time for an afternoon of music at their “Great Ladies of Song” show at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018, at St. Peters Cultural Arts Centre’s Performing Arts Theatre.
Sharn and True will perform the music of female greats Doris Day, Patsy Cline, Peggy Lee and Ella Fitzgerald, as well as more contemporary artists such as Carole King and Adele. You will hear familiar songs including “Tenderly,” “Fever,” “Mambo Italiano,” “Que Sera Sera,” “Crazy,” “Walkin’ After Midnight,” “Tennessee Waltz,” and “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow.” Come celebrate this musical journey with these “Great Ladies of Song!”
Sharn has performed at Sheldon Concert Hall and Jazz at the Bistro as well as with numerous theater companies in St. Louis such as Stray Dog Theater, New Line Theatre, The Black Rep and Mustard Seed Theatre.
True is an active member of the St. Louis musical community, as both a performing artist and teacher. She was the 2004 recipient of St. Louis Magazine’s “Musician of the Year” Award, the 2007 Arts and Education “Excellence in Arts” Award and the 2008 Riverfront Times “Musician of the Year” award.
