Recycle Christmas Trees for Free at St. Peters Earth Centre

December 28, 2017
St. Peters residents and non-residents alike can recycle their live Christmas trees for free at St. Peters Earth Centre now through Jan. 17, 2018. To properly prepare the tree for recycling, please remove all decorations, lights, plastic bags and stands from the tree.

After Jan. 17, there is a $5 charge to drop off a Christmas tree without a Resident Privilege Card.

St. Peters residents can also take trees to the temporary designated drop-off center at Laurel Park in the upper parking lot through Jan. 13.

If residents would like to have their tree picked up at their home they can cut their Christmas tree in half and place it at the curb for yard waste pickup on their regular yard waste pickup day through Jan. 10.

Just a reminder, yard waste pickup will be suspended during the month of February and resumes the first full week of March. This practice saves fuel costs, helps the environment, and provides a time to perform our annual vehicle maintenance and repair.

St. Peters Earth Centre is located at 115 Ecology Drive in St. Peters, off Mid Rivers Mall Drive just north of I-70.
