St. Peters and Cottleville residents will have an opportunity to securely destroy unneeded documents for FREE at the “Shred It and Forget It” recycling event from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017. Mobile shredders will be at St. Peters’ Health and Environmental Operations Building located behind Recycle City at 135 Ecology Drive in St. Peters.
Simply place the documents you want to destroy in cardboard boxes and bring them to the Health and Environmental Operations Building. Please make sure that the banker-size boxes are not too heavy to lift. There is a limit of five banker-size boxes per vehicle. All of the shredded material will be recycled, including the cardboard boxes if they are not needed back.
Do not bring computer discs or hanging file rods. If you can tear it, then you can shred it using this service. The documents may contain staples or paper clips.
This service is FREE for St. Peters and Cottleville resident households only. You must show a current Resident Privilege Card, which can be obtained at City Hall, the Rec-Plex or Recycle City. Non-residents can participate, however, there will be a fee of $5 per box, cash only. The five-box limit applies.
