If you want to learn more about senior services and issues in a fun environment, mark your calendar for the ninth annual St. Charles County Senior Fair on Saturday morning, Oct. 7, 2017. The event is free to attend and will take place from 9 a.m.-noon at St. Peters City Hall.
Hosted this year by the St. Peters Senior Advisory Committee, the Senior Fair is an opportunity to talk to various vendors and organizations to learn about matters important to area seniors. Family members are not only welcome, but encouraged to accompany seniors to the event.
Barnes-Jewish St. Peters and Progress West Hospitals will be offering 100 FREE flu shots (ages 18 and older only) at the fair on a first come, first served basis. They will also be offering FREE bone density screenings, blood pressure screenings, and blood glucose tests for seniors.
Seniors will also have the chance to participate in a Zumba for Seniors class. The St. Peters Police Department will give a presentation on senior safety. Seniors will have the opportunity to take home giveaways and win raffle prizes. Entertainment and light refreshments will be provided.
