The City of St. Peters’ Spencer Creek Trail will temporarily close to pedestrians in the area south of Boone Hills Drive and north of Riverboat Drive due to a stormwater construction project. The trail is scheduled to close for up to 120 days beginning Monday, July 31, 2017.
The trail closing is needed to allow construction of a Prop P stormwater project to stabilize the banks of Spencer Creek and replace a portion of the existing parks trail along the creek. The newly built trail will include an elevated boardwalk that will meet regulations of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
The trail is expected to reopen by the end of November. The project’s timeline is weather-dependent.
