  • An approved backflow prevention device shall be installed at ALL potable water service lines entering the premises of all retail, commercial, and industrial facilities.
  • An approved backflow prevention device shall be installed at any non-potable auxiliary water service connection within any facility where food services and public drinking fountains are present including:
    • chemical feed systems or soap additive devices
    • carbonated fountain machines
    • ice machines
    • steam tables
    • laundry machines
    • boiler feed systems
    • chillers
  • An approved reduced pressure zone (RPZ) backflow prevention device shall be installed on all lawn irrigation and all fire protection systems with chemical additives present.  An approved RPZ or double-check (DC) backflow prevention device shall be installed on all fire protection systems without chemical additives present.
