Hermitage Stormwater Improvement

The P-31 Hermitage Stormwater Project is designed to relieve localized flooding in the area of Golden Hills Estates and Hermitage subdivisions and will replace specific areas of undersized storm sewer system. This project includes improvements in the Diekamp subdivision, which has been communicated and coordinated with the City of St. Charles. This project is partially funded with American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 grant funding as well as Local Parks and Stormwater funds

This project will replace several storm sewer pipes with larger diameter pipes and will include the replacement of single curb inlets with double curb inlets at specific locations. The project is in design, and residents in the area may notice additional investigation of existing buried utilities. This investigation will include “potholing” to locate the depths of these existing utilities to avoid conflicts with new pipes.

The City will be approaching certain residents for necessary easements needed to construct these improvements; these requests will be sent by certified mail. Please continue to check this page for updates.
