The Rec-Plex offers people of all ages the opportunity to play hockey! We offer Learn to Skate classes, Stick & Puck, Adult Drop-In, Hockey Instructional Hour, and Private Ice Hockey Lessons.

Learn to Hockey Skate
Hockey is a fun sport that requires a strong foundation in skating. The St. Peters Rec-Plex has partnered with the St. Peters Hockey Club to give youth in our area a chance to build their skills from skating, to beginner hockey, to club play.

Rec-Plex North Ice Rink
Hockey skaters can try Stick & Puck sessions to improve their skills. A maximum of 26 skaters and four goalies are allowed per session. Skaters must wear skates, gloves and a helmet. Stick & Puck sessions are available for two age groups: 12 and under, and 13 and up. Session times vary; view our current calendar on the Hours of Operation page below, then sign up online using Rec-Connect Flex Registration.
- Age 17 and under must wear full-shield or facemask.
- Adults 18+ must wear at least a half-shield.
- Students in private lessons with a Rec-Plex coach may override age requirements.
- Parents are allowed to purchase session time to work on skills with their child.

Rec-Plex North Ice Rink
The Rec-Plex offers Adult Drop-in Hockey Sessions for ages 18 and up at the Rec-Plex North Ice Rink. A maximum of 26 players and two goalies are allowed for each session. Full equipment with at least a half shield on the helmet is required. Session times vary; view our current calendar on the Hours of Operation page below, then sign up online using Rec-Connect Flex Registration.

$10/skater (goalies are free!)

These sessions are ONLY for skaters working directly with an approved Rec-Plex Private Instructor. Session times vary; view our current calendar on the Hours of Operation page below, then sign up online using Rec-Connect Flex Registration.
- Skaters must have a minimum of helmet, gloves and skates
- Skaters under 18 must wear a full face shield or cage
- Skaters 18 and up must wear at minimum a half shield
- Skaters attending sessions without a certified approved Rec-Plex coach/guest coach will be asked to leave without refund.
- Coaches teaching without proper paperwork filed with the City will be asked to leave without refund and may be unapproved for future approval. Please contact our Recreation Superintendent, Kelsie Grate, about our guest coaching policies. Email Kelsie
