City of St. Peters Red Light Photo Enforcement
As a part of its traffic control enforcement, the City of St. Peters uses a system that monitors and records red light violations. The goal is to reduce intersection crashes to improve safety and prevent serious injury. When a violation occurs, the digital cameras capture a series of images. In addition, a digital video camera captures a 12-second video of the violation. A Notice of Violation and Summons including three photographs is then issued to the registered owner of the vehicle upon authorization by the Police Department.
