Triathlons Sponsored by the St. Peters Rec-Plex Natatorium Foundation
The City of St. Peters Rec-Plex offers several endurance events throughout the year, including the annual Spring and Fall Triathlons sponsored by the St. Peters Rec-Plex Natatorium Foundation. Compete in the Triathlons on your own or on a team. We also offer Indoor Triathlons to help you train during the winter months.
Rec-Plex Fall and Spring Triathlons
- SPRING TRIATHLON: Sunday, June 17, 2012

- PACKET PICK-UP INFORMATION: You can pick up packets at Momentum Cycles, St. Peters, 384 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, on June 15-16, from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. On the day of the event, June 17, you can pick up the packet at the Rec-Plex beginning at 5:30 a.m. Course maps and swim send-off times are included.

The St. Peters Rec-Plex hosts Triathlons in both the spring and fall each year. Compete in the Spring Triathlon and then track your progress when you finish the season with the Fall Triathlon. You can enter the Triathlon as an individual competing in Age Groups or as a team. Register at the Rec-Plex, 5200 Mexico Road. Or REGISTER ONLINE.
Triathlon Events:
- 500-meter swim in the Rec-Plex’s Olympic-quality Natatorium
- 21-mile bicycle ride through flat farmlands*
- 5-mile run through shady, scenic and serene St. Peters parks
*Times are not adjusted for train stoppages.
Awards:
- Overall Male and Overall Female
- Age Group 1st, 2nd and 3rd
- Team Division 1st, 2nd and 3rd
We provide post-race food and fruit for participants

Rec-Plex Indoor Triathlon Challenge
Our Indoor Triathlons at the Rec-Plex will help you meet your winter fitness goals and prepare you for the triathlon season. This is a great way for new triathletes to begin and a great way for experienced triathletes to stay motivated over the winter.
Compete on select Sunday evenings in the Rec-Plex Indoor Triathlon and win points toward prizes! You could win a special moisture-wicking shirt and even FREE entry into the Rec-Plex Fall and Spring Triathlons.
Indoor Triathlons are available on these Sunday dates at 5:30 p.m.:
- Nov. 6 & 20, 2011
- Dec. 11 & 18, 2011
- Jan. 8 & 22, 2012
- Feb. 12 & 19, 2012
- March 11 & 25, 2012
Prizes will be awarded in five age groups: 25 - under, 26-39, 40-54, 55-69, and 70+.
Point System:
- 10 pts for participating in a Rec-Plex Indoor Triathlon
- 5 more points for 1st place
- 3 more points for 2nd place
- 1 more point for 3rd place
Points = Prizes!

- 100 points = FREE entry into the Rec-Plex Spring Triathlon
- 150 points = FREE entry into the Rec-Plex Fall Triathlon
Each Indoor Triathlon costs:
$15 in advance • $20 at door
LONG COURSE:
500-yd. swim in the pool
15-mile bike ride on stationary bikes
5-mile run on a treadmill
SHORT COURSE:
300-yd. swim in the pool
10-mile bike ride on stationary bikes
3-mile run on a treadmill

City of St. Peters Race to Recycling Duathlon & 1-Mile Fun Walk/Run

St. Peters Recycle City
Duathlon begins at 8 a.m.
1-Mile Walk/Run follows at 8:10 a.m.
Start off the year with something fun and new to our area—a duathlon. The competition starts at St. Peters Recycle City with a 2.5-mile run, moves to a 15-mile bike ride, and finishes with another 2.5-mile run! Individuals and teams are welcome. Awards will go to the top finishers!
Area families also can take part in a 1-Mile Fun Walk/Run as part of this first-time event.
Plus, everyone can learn more about recycling in St. Peters when Recycle City opens its doors for an open house, displays and tours during the event. The general public is invited to the Recycle City open house.
FREE race shirts go to the first 100 Run/Walk entrants, first 200 individual Duathlon entrants, and first 25 Duathlon teams (2 shirts per team).
