Parks, Recreation & Arts Advisory Board

The Parks, Recreation and Arts Advisory Board is composed of volunteer residents and operates as a public interface between City residents and City officials to advise, recommend and assist, where possible, in matters concerning parks, recreation and cultural arts within the City. This Board also strives to establish a good working relationship with civic organizations and service groups to promote and assist in establishing a balanced park and recreation system that will benefit residents of St. Peters of all ages.

This Board is composed of nine members, appointed by the mayor with approval of the Board of Aldermen. Parks Board members serve three-year terms with anniversary dates of January 31. In addition, there are two youth representatives, each appointed for a one-year term with an anniversary date of February 1.

Regular meetings are usually held on the third Tuesday of every other month (January, March, May, July, September and November) at 7 p.m. at the Cultural Arts Centre in St. Peters City Hall, 1 St. Peters Centre Blvd.

PLEASE NOTE: The meeting on July 19, 2011, has been moved up to 6:30 p.m.

Alderman Terri Violet and Alderman Jerry Hollingsworth serve as the Aldermanic Liaisons to the Parks, Recreation & Arts Advisory Board.
