Living Memorial Program

The Living Memorial Program is an excellent opportunity for people to honor a special person or event by having a tree planted in a St. Peters City Park or on other city-owned property.  There are currently over 320 memorial trees planted throughout the Parks system incorporating over 60 different species of trees and shrubs.  The standard size donation is $100, although smaller donations or larger donations for items other than trees can be arranged with the Parks Department.  A decorative plaque may also be installed with the memorial tree for an additional cost.  Both residents and non-residents are eligible to donate to the program.

Parks Department staff install new memorial trees between the months of March and May.  Tree availability, weather, and seasonal workload may affect the exact date of planting during that period.  Tree donations received after May 31 will not be planted until the following spring.

If you would like to donate a memorial, simply fill out an application form and return it with your donation to the address listed on the form.  Applications can be found at St. Peters City Hall or at the Parks Department Office during normal business hours.  You may also download an electronic version by clicking on the link below.
