City Parks: Descriptions & Maps

The City of St. Peters has 20 parks covering about 1,000 acres of land. Outdoor amenities available to park users include: recreation trails, playgrounds, picnic shelters and pavilions, athletic fields, fishing ponds, and landscape areas.

Brookmount

Brookmount Park offers 5 acres of peaceful, open park area along with a one-mile pedestrian trail and playground designed for toddlers and small children. Bring your little ones for fun on the Tikes and Trikes Roadway.

Brookmount Park is located at 34 Jane Drive in the Brookmount Subdivision.

Brown Road

Brown Road Park features three baseball diamonds, a football field, a picnic pavilion and a playground on 22 acres. With easy pedestrian trail access to Sports Center Park and a BMX track, this site provides visitors with a wide variety of recreational opportunities.

Brown Road Park is located at 100 Brown Road on the north side of Hwy 70.  From Hwy 70, take the Mid Rivers Exit north to Main Street (the north outer road).  Turn left and head west on Main Street.  Just over the Rail Road tracks, turn left on Salt River Road, and then left on Brown Road.

City Centre

City Centre Park offers over 78 acres of natural beauty and recreation opportunities for the whole family. 

Park visitors can relax and enjoy the serene pond with its lush landscaping, mature shade trees, and decorative waterfall. The City Centre Gazebo, set against this lovely backdrop, is a very popular location for outdoor weddings and can be reserved for a fee by contacting the Parks Department.

Recreation amenities at City Centre Park include: three baseball diamonds, a soccer/football field, biking and hiking trails, an inclusive playground for kids, and a picnic pavilion with barbecue grills. The park also features a grass outdoor amphitheater for music and the performing arts. 

City Centre Park is located at #1 City Centre Blvd. in the City Centre complex adjacent to St. Peters City Hall and the St. Peters Rec-Plex.

Covenant Park

Covenant Park offers many recreational opportunities in just seven acres: A ball diamond, basketball court,  two tennis courts, a playground, picnic tables, a barbecue grill and multipurpose trails all make this an ideal park for playing or relaxing.

Covenant Park is located at 2199 Willott Road just west of Jungermann Road.

Dardenne Park

Tucked away in a sheltered wooded corner next to Dardenne Creek, Dardenne Park provides vistors with an expansive new playground, a paved pedestrian trail, and quick access to an 18-hole municipal golf course.

Glen Travis

Glen Travis Park is over 12 acres of unique pin oak swamp that can be reached from Rabbit Run Park, 10 Mayfield Road. A paved walking trail allows park visitors to explore and enjoy this scenic natural area and observe its wildlife.

Golf & Recreation Center

The St. Peters Golf & Recreation Center is both a park and a golf course with a banquet hall. The park has tennis courts, a 13-acre fishing lake and an OUTDOOR SWIMMING POOL. The GOLF COURSE offers 18 holes, golf cart rentals, league play, tournament services and a clubhouse with a pro shop. The golf course’s clubhouse has a BANQUET HALL available for room rentals and catered events.

We’re located at 200  Salt Lick Road. You’ll see the Golf & Recreation Center on the east side of Salt Lick, just south of I-70. GET MAP.

Lakeside 370 Park

This 300-acre park is under development north of Highway 370 in northern St. Peters. Plans are for Lakeside 370 Park to have a 140-acre recreational lake with fishing and boating, including a canoe channel, family picnic areas, park pavilions, walking trails surrounding the lake, large playgrounds, an RV park, campgrounds for organized groups, a recreational beach, and a dog park. Check out the Conceptual Plan.

Laurel Park

Laurel Park offers something for everyone. Amenities located throughout the park's 40 acres include: a large playground, two ball diamonds, two soccer/football fields, two sand volleyball courts, a basketball court, four horseshoe pits, two picnic pavilions and a multipurpose trail system around the perimeter of the park. Laurel Park is also home to an outdoor swimming pool, two lakes and a roller hockey court.

Laurel Park is located at 181 Driftwood Lane. From Jungermann Road, head east on Barkwood Trails, then turn right at the stop sign on Driftwood Lane. Stay on this road, and it will lead you directly into the park. This is the best entry if you have reserved the lower pavilion (Pavilion O). To park near the upper pavilion (Pavilion N), take Jungermann to McClay Road and head east on McClay to McClay Valley Blvd. (This is the entrance to a subdivision). Stay on McClay Valley Blvd and it will lead you directly into the park. Enjoy!

Lone Wolff

Lone Wolff Park's quiet rural setting offers visitors a small pavilion and a competetive horse arena. The site is located adjacent to Brown Road Park and within easy walking distance of Old Town and Sports Center Parks.

Oak Creek

Oak Creek Park is the smallest neighborhood park in the St. Peters park system. It provides nearby residents with a playground and several picnic tables in a pleasant, two-acre setting.

Old Town Park 

Old Town Park at 1 Park Street  is St. Peters' original park. More than100 years old, this park is still a favorite of the community, offering two ball diamonds, four horseshoe pits, two pavilions and a playground. Old Town Park is also home to the annual St. Peters Olde Tyme Picnic.

Old Town Log Cabin

Currently located at 141 Gatty Drive in St. Peters, this two-story log cabin was originally built and owned by Jacob Sattler around 1835 on a site near Belleau Creek Road.  In 1995, Sattler's descendents donated the cabin to the Old Town Association after it was scheduled to be razed in preparation for a new development.  The Assocation then kept the cabin in storage until 1999 when the City of St. Peters donated land on Gatty Road near Old Town Park as a new homestead.  In 2004, the Old Town Association asked the City to take over the reconstruction of the cabin on the new site and in December 2005 the Log Cabin officially opened with the first annual "Vist With Santa".  This annual event provides families the opportunity to have their picture taken with Santa in a true historical setting.

Rabbit Run

Rabbit Run Park covers over 19 acres in the Country Hill South subdivision. Park amenities include two ball diamonds, three football or soccer fields, a gazebo, and a full-service pavilion.

Rabbit Run park is located at #10 Mayfield Road. From I-70, take Mid Rivers Mall Drive south past Mexico Road and turn right on Countryside Drive. Take Countryside Drive just a few short blocks to Mayfield.

Shady Springs

Shady Springs Park has three baseball diamonds, a soccer field, a large playground and a full service pavilion. Shady Springs also offers visitors a half-mile fitness trail that winds through a scenic wooded area on the north side of the park.

Shady Springs Park is located at 3888 Shady Springs Lane. To get to the park from I-70, take the Cave Springs exit and head north to the North Service Road. Turn left (west) on the service road to Shady Springs Lane and this will lead you straight to the park.

Spencer Creek

Spencer Creek Park is conveniently located on 32 acres in the heart of the Spencer Creek subdivision. A ball diamond, basketball court, football/soccer field, two tennis courts, a playground, pavilion and extensive trail system offer a wide variety of recreation opportunities for park visitors.

Spencer Creek Park is located at 100 Sutters Mill Road.  From I-70, you can take the Cave Springs exit or the Mid Rivers Mall Drive exit.  From the Cave Springs exit, turn south onto Cave Springs Boulevard to Mexico Road. Turn right (west) on Mexico Road to Jungermann Road. Turn left on Jungermann Road to Sutters Mill Road. Turn right on Sutters Mill Road.  From the Mid Rivers Mall Drive exit, head south on Mid Rivers Mall Drive to Mexico Road. Turn left (east) on Mexico Road. Take Mexico Road to Spencer Road. Turn right on Spencer Road to Sutters Mill Road. Turn left on Sutters Mill Road. When you see the covered bridge, you're there.

Sports Center

Sports Center Park offers over 20 acres of sports fun. Amenities include three ball diamonds, two soccer/football fields, a concession stand and a half-mile pedestrian trail that circles the perimeter of the park.

This park is also home to the Sports Center Gymnasium.  The Gymnasium is available for rental to residents needing an indoor facility for basketball, volleyball or soccer.  For more information on renting the Sports Center, visit our Facility Rental page.

Sports Center Park, 7 North Service Road, is in Old Town St. Peters north of I-70. Take Main Street to Gatty Street, turn south onto Gatty and head past Olde Town Park. Gatty connects to the I-70 North Service Road, which you can follow to Sports Center Park near the top of the hill on the right.

Tot Lot

Tot Lot Park is a small neighborhood park located at 259 Bellemeade Drive near Kimberly Road that serves the neighborhoods of Brookmount and Bellemeade. Tot Lot Park was originally built in 1971 for the children of St. Peters. It included a few swings, a slide, a jungle gym, and a small basketball court. The playground was renovated in 2009 to include state-of-the-art play equipment, a rubberized surface area, and a fence completely surrounding the playground. The basketball court was resurfaced. Picnic tables were added and another fence completely surrounds the park.

Trailwoods

Trailwoods Park, 55 Southwinds Park, provides the residents of nearby subdivisions a peaceful neighborhood park for walking, relaxing, or observing wildlife. A short walking trail takes visitors around a small lake surrounded by mature trees. Ducks, squirrels, fish, and other aquatic life make this park a great site for anyone seeking a quiet time in a natural setting.

Woodlands Sports

Woodlands Sports Park offers 5 ball diamonds, eight soccer fields, a playground, two concession stands, and two fishing lakes. A number of large-scale baseball and soccer tournaments over the course of the year make Woodlands Sports Park one of the busiest parks in the City of St. Peters.

Please be aware that Woodlands Sports Park operates under different hours from other St. Peters parks. 

Operating hours are: 8 a.m. to sunset (except by permit). Woodlands Sports Park is located at #1 Woodlands Parkway. From Mid Rivers Mall Drive south, turn right on Ohmes Road to Woodlands Parkway.
