SPRING 2010 UPDATE, Park News: If weather cooperates, by this time next year you’ll have a new 300-acre park to enjoy in St. Peters. Lakeside 370 Park construction is underway with grading and excavation at the park site north of Highway 370.
Other construction expected this year includes utility work, 50 RV pads at the park’s RV camping site, a comfort station, roads, a parking lot and a pedestrian and biking trail around the park’s 140-acre lake. The City of St. Peters hopes to have the park open to the public in spring 2011.

The trucking company is building a warehouse/office facility at Premier Parkway and Executive Centre Parkway to serve as a distribution center. ST. PETERS RECEIVES LOMR FROM FEMA, June 26, 2008: The City of St. Peters has received official notification in writing from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) revising the Flood Insurance Study report and flood Insurance Rate Map for our community at the Lakeside 370 levee. "This is great news and the final step is being completed in the regulatory process for the Lakeside 370 levee," said Mayor Len Pagano. The letter and attached documentation including the map may be found on the FEMA website.
FEMA LETTER STATES PREMIER 370 LOMR COMING, May 29, 2008: The City of St. Peters has received a letter from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) stating that the agency will issue a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) for the Premier 370 Business Park Project in approximately 30 days. LEVEE PROGRAM APPROVAL, Feb. 28, 2008: The Lakeside 370 levee has qualified for inclusion into the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Public Law 84-99 Rehabilitation and Inspection Program.The City recently received notification from the USACE regarding the eligibility of the Lakeside 370 levee.The St. Peters Old Town Levee has been included in this program since 2001. Participation in this program means the levee has been built to USACE standards and will be vigorously maintained per USACE standards.
LAKESIDE 370 PARK UPDATE, Feb. 2008: When complete, Lakeside 370 Park will have a 140-acre recreational lake with fishing and boating, including a canoe channel, family picnic areas, park pavilions, walking trails surrounding the lake, large playgrounds, an RV park, campgrounds for organized groups, a recreational beach, and a dog park.

PREMIER 370 UPDATE, Sept. 2007: Gundaker Commercial Group Inc. and Duke Realty Corporation are jointly developing Premier 370 south of Lakeside 370 Park. (See brochure on Premier 370.) The multi-million dollar mixed-use development will be situated in a magnificent park-like setting with a series of inter-connecting lakes and native plantings. The developers are excited to offer a serene backdrop to a bustling industrial center. The 835-acre development is expected to provide 6,000-10,000 jobs. SEPT. 14, 2006: Moody's Investor Service upgraded bond ratings for the City of St. Peters, citing "significant financial flexibility to be provided by the 370 redevelopment sale."
AUG. 24, 2006: The Missouri Supreme Court ruled in favor of the City of St. Peters' request and refused to take the appeal of the judgment entered in favor of the City by the Cole County Circuit Court regarding the St. Charles County and Great Rivers Habitat Alliance TIF lawsuit.
JUNE 19 and 21, 2006, PUBLIC FORUMS ON LAKESIDE 370 PARK: A preliminary conceptual plan for the new park was presented at the May 25 Board of Alderman meeting. The City of St. Peters will host two public forums to discuss these plans for the new park at Lakeside 370 and get input from our residents to see what types of amenities they would like included in this new park. The forums will take place at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 19, and Wednesday, June 21, at St. Peters City Hall.
JUNE 1, 2006, SALE: A partnership group has closed on the purchase of the Lakeside 370 property, and the City of St. Peters has received its first payment, in the amount of $24.35 million, for the property.
MAY 17, 2006, RULING: Cole County Circuit Court again ruled in favor of the City of St. Peters on a motion for a new trial in a lawsuit filed against the Lakeside 370 TIF.
APRIL 27, 2006, UPDATE: City officials announced the execution of a $49.6 million sales agreement with Kaplan Development, Duke Realty and Gundaker Commercial Group for the Lakeside 370 property. At the time of the sale’s closing, which is anticipated in June 2006, the partnership will pay the City $24.6 million. The remaining $25 million will be paid upon completion of the levee construction.
APRIL 3, 2006, UPDATE: A U.S. District Court Judge issued a summary judgment in favor of the City of St. Peters and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and has denied all six counts of a lawsuit filed by the Great Rivers Habitat Alliance, the City of O’Fallon and other parties to stop the construction of the levee to protect the St. Peters Lakeside 370 Business Park project.
FEB. 28, 2006, UPDATE: Kaplan Development and Investment Co. has assembled a national development team and submitted a new proposal to purchase the property comprising the St. Peters Lakeside 370 Business Park project.
JAN. 20, 2006, UPDATE: The Circuit Court in Cole County, Missouri has ruled in favor of the City of St. Peters on ten counts of a lawsuit filed by the Great Rivers Habitat Alliance, St. Charles County, the Adolphus A. Busch Revocable Living Trust, Andrew Riney, Alan Poggemoeller, Randy Hudson and Delores Wetzell. The eleventh count of the lawsuit was called moot.In its sixteen page detailed ruling, the Court found that the City of St. Peters actions under the state’s Tax Increment Financing (TIF) laws were appropriate and have always been in accordance with the law.
SEPT. 30, 2005, UPDATE: Judge denies motion for temporary restraining order, and levee work continues. Court states that "it seems unlikely that Plaintiffs will be able to demonstrate that the Corps’ decision was not based on relevant factors or that there has been a clear error of judgment sufficient to overturn the decision.See Nat’l Wildlife Fed’n, 27F.3d at 1344. Thus, Plaintiffs have failed to meet their burden of demonstrating that they are likely to succeed on this claim."
