PARKS WORKER
PRS/PARKS
FULL-TIME MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY (SOME WEEKENDS)

JOB DESCRIPTION
Primary Responsibility: Operates and performs maintenance and repair to park equipment ranging from backhoe to small engine, power tools and other motorized equipment. Operates and performs maintenance on vehicles up to and including a Class "B" CDL size vehicle with air brakes.

May perform minor building, facility, and swimming pool maintenance and repair tasks including plumbing, carpentry, masonry, electrical and other tasks. May perform grounds maintenance tasks including mowing, planting, pruning, trimming and irrigation system installation and maintenance. May perform general labor to repair and maintain parks, playgrounds, athletic fields, and trails. May apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides. Performs all work in compliance with established City safety standards. Performs snow removal activities and other work as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must be a U.S. Citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker.
High School graduate or GED certificate.
One (1) year of applicable experience.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and carry it a reasonable distance and occasionally lift and/or move more than 75 pounds.
Must have a Class "B" with air brakes CDL valid in the state of Missouri, or obtain within ninety (90) days of employment.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Considerable skills in maintaining, repairing, servicing and operating large and small equipment and vehicles. Experience in: Performing building and pool maintenance including pumps and electrical; horticulture, arboricultural, or grounds maintenance including landscape installation, bed maintenance, mowing, and tree care; pond management; and with irrigation systems including design, installation, and repair. Familiarity with City streets, parks, trails, and common ground.

RATE: $17.51/hr. to $18.80/hr. depending on qualifications and experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Performs routine audio-visual tasks to support set procedures and production tasks. Operates video camera and sets up lights and sound for shoots. Edits and dubs video footage. Serves as director of on-location shoots. Generates scripts for video projects. Schedules interview times and locations. Assists in organizing and maintaining a video library. Erects and tears down sets before and after studio productions. Acts as floor director on productions. Operates Audio mixing board for productions. Performs all work in compliance with established City safety standards. Performs other work as assigned.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker.

Possession of a Motor Vehicle Operator’s license valid in the state of Missouri.

Working knowledge of sound and lighting equipment operation and field productions.

Associates degree or two (2) years experience in video production work including video editing or a combination of education and experience in a related field.

Must possess camera composition skills.

Ability to lift and handle a minimum of 50 lbs. for sustained periods of time.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Associates degree and two (2) years experience in related field or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

On-camera experience.

Knowledge of non-linear editing systems.

 

RATE:   $13.13/hr. to $14.88/hr. depending on qualifications and experience.

Temporary positions. Some positions require working weekdays, after school, and school breaks, continuing through the summer. Other positions require summer help only.

POSITIONS AVAILABLE:

Positions may include filing, copying, answering phones, data entry, mail, use of cash register, customer service, and other tasks as required.

LABORER #14001: Salary range $7.68/hr. to $8.00/hr.
Positions may include assisting with facility and vehicle maintenance, basic clean up, painting, light manual labor, cleaning of equipment, care of grounds, and other tasks as required.

LIFEGUARDS

The St. Peters Rec-Plex is looking for Lifeguards who are interested in working part-time. We have immediate openings morning and daytime hours between the hours of 5:30 am and 3:30 pm. We are also looking to hire lifeguards for all shifts during the summer. Training available if needed. Lifeguards are responsible for customer safety and enjoyment while using our aquatic facilities. Salary: $7.25/hr. plus shift premium of 50 cents for daytime hours Monday through Friday 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM between Labor Day and Memorial Day.
