JOB DESCRIPTION

Responds to routine, urgent and emergency calls for service. Performs preventive patrol and actively enforces laws, statutes and ordinances. Identifies potential and actual police hazards and determines appropriate response or enforcement activity. Provides emergency assistance to injured. Protects accident and/or crime scene to ensure evidence control. Directs and controls traffic to ensure safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Sixty college credit hours from an accredited College or University; or two (2) years of continuous police service with the same police agency; or have served in the Armed Forces of the United States of America and received a discharge under Honorable Conditions.

Must meet all Missouri Police Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) certification requirements for a 1st class charter county (Class A) within ninety (90) days of application deadline.

COURT SPECIALIST (Part-Time)

SSS/COURT

Part-time Monday through Friday up to 28 hours per week. Includes some evenings.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Receives and processes payments of monies due to the Court. Enters, verifies and posts data into computerized court system. Calculates daily receipts and assists with deposits and maintenance of receipts of monies due the court. Prepares court dockets and court reports. Assists with preparation of correspondence and orders for Municipal Judge and maintains Prosecuting Attorney’s cases and files relating to Court functions. Assists with issuance of warrants in a timely and accurate manner. Constructs and maintains case records and filing of citation for court dates. Attends day and evening court sessions and performs related tasks including collection of fines, application of bond money, processing paperwork and provides assistance to the Municipal Judge during sessions. Prepares and processes information for attorneys, subpoenas for trials, Failure to Appear (FTA). Processes executed warrants. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other criminal justice system staff, City officials, defendants, community service providers and the public. May be designated to assume all responsibilities of court office in absence of the Court Administrator. Performs other work as assigned.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

JOB DESCRIPTION

Supervises, coordinates, organizes and personally participates in the labor and work activities of the maintenance team. Performs maintenance and repairs, including janitorial tasks, of Recycle City buildings, plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems, specialized equipment and conveyor belt systems. Supervises and performs routine and preventive maintenance for all infrastructure and rolling stock at the CMPF to the City and manufacturers’ specifications. Maintains schedule of predictive facility and equipment maintenance. Maintains records of maintenance and repair work using computer based and manual systems.  Operates small hand tools, motorized power equipment, specialized equipment and electronic testing devices. Assists in the research and purchase of capital items and budget. Directs on-the-job training of employees in regard to safety, use of equipment, work methods and certification. Orders materials and supplies. Serves as CMPF on duty manager as required. Performs all work in compliance with established City safety standards. Performs other work as assigned.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

U.S. Citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker.

High School graduate or GED certificate and eight (8) years of applicable experience in maintenance and repair of equipment and vehicles or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be able to frequently lift and/or move 75 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.

Must have a Motor Vehicle Operator’s license valid in the state of Missouri.

Class “A” CDL with air brakes valid in the state of Missouri or obtain within ninety (90) days of employment.

Completion of City Supervisory Course or obtain within one (1) year.

Maintains records of maintenance and repair work using automated and/or manual systems. Determines parts necessary for repair and maintenance and ensures an inventory of parts as may be required. JOB DESCRIPTION

Possesses good communication skills for working with people face-to-face, over the phone and via computer. Obtains, possesses and works with a wide, general knowledge of City operations including familiarity with City ordinances and the City organizational structure in order to provide information to City residents and the general public.  Receives citizen concerns and processes them through the City’s Access database concern system, which includes follow-up procedures involved to assure the concern response is completed.  Custodian of a cash drawer working with a computerized cash receipting system which includes daily balancing. Performs various accounting functions which may include generating daily bank deposits, accepting and verifying cash, and processing credit and debit payments.  Assists with sorting and distributing incoming mail to all City work units. Issues identification cards and pool passes for City residents. Assists with receiving and coordinating responses to requests for public information including follow-up procedures involved in assuring the request response is completed. Performs a variety of clerical duties on an on-going basis. Assists in the collection and processing of utility payments and yearly utility franchise tax refund. Assists other City departments with ongoing City programs. Registers new voters. Performs all work in compliance with established City safety standards. Parks Department:  Resident Youth-Laborers to work May-September up to 40 hours per week or year round flexible schedule bi-weekly average not to exceed 28 hours per week. Will work on athletic fields, grounds maintenance, right-of-way mowing, park clean-up or building and pool maintenance.

 

Solid Waste Collection:  Resident Youth-Laborers year round bi-weekly average not to exceed 28 hours per week. Hours 6 AM till 2 PM and generally working outdoors, Monday through Friday. Knowledge of City streets helpful. Will work with department staff and/or other Resident Youth. Assists with weekly yard waste collection on Mondays and Wednesdays. Deliver, pickup and clean solid waste carts and assist with oversize item collection.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Must be a U.S. Citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker.

A resident of the City of St. Peters between the ages of 16 and 23 (Laborers 18-23).

Some positions may require a valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s License.

We have immediate openings morning and daytime hours between the hours of 5:30 a.m and 3:30 p.m. Training available if needed.
