JOB DESCRIPTION

Supervises, coordinates, evaluates and personally participates in the administrative, clerical and accounting activities of the Municipal Court. Assists in the planning and implementation of work schedules. Assists in the research and purchase of capital items. Directs on-the-job training of employees in regard to safety, use of equipment and work methods. Assists in budget preparation, monitors to ensure that work activities and purchases are within budget and prepares related documents. Reviews and responds to inquiries, concerns and complaints from  customers/residents/Court personnel/attorneys. Supervises the Court in accordance to State laws and regulations related to the operation of Municipal Courts in the State of Missouri. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with the public, City officials, other criminal justice system staff, City defendants, community service providers and the public. Analyzes, reviews and Recommends action regarding legislative acts and other recommendations affecting the Court’s operation. Prepares all correspondence and orders for Municipal Judge, and maintains Prosecuting Attorney’s cases and files relating to Court functions. Supervises and ensures the maintenance of Court records and files. Performs all work in compliance with established City safety standards.

Performs other work as assigned.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker.

An Associates of Arts/Science Degree in Criminal Justice, Legal Studies or Public Administration or a related field and a MACA Certification in Court Administration or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

One (1) year experience in supervising a small group of employees.

Completion of City Supervisory Course or obtain within one (1) year.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelor of Arts/Science Degree in Criminal Justice, Legal Studies, Judicial Administration or a related field.

MACA Certified Court Administrator.

Considerable knowledge of modern office management and accounting principles and practices.

Considerable knowledge of laws, ordinances, policies and procedures applicable to the City and the State of Missouri pertaining to the operations of a municipal court.

Working knowledge of court system applications.

WES/STORM WATER

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for the administration of the NPDES Phase II Storm Water Program, management of stewardship, habitat, and environmental contractors, natural areas, streams, and detention basins. Acts as project manager for environmental improvement projects. Prepares and upgrades City specifications and standards to ensure the environmental quality of improvements constructed in, by, or for the City. Reviews subdivision plans, including record plats, site plans and improvement plans as it relates to storm water quality. Prepares and/or reviews improvement and extension plans for potable water, sanitary sewers and storm water. Negotiates the acquisition of right-of-way and easements. Reviews and responds to customer/resident inquiries, concerns and complaints. Provides technical advice and assistance to and confers with other City departments and officials. Represents the City during federal, state and local meetings. Writes specifications, prepares cost estimates, prepares bid documents and ensures projects are within the budget. Reviews pay estimates, processes change orders and other contract related items on City capital improvement projects. Provides coordination between bid plan preparation/revision and construction. Maintains and monitors Storm Water Phase II Permit to ensure compliance with Illicit Discharge inspections and maintains database. Monitors water quality in streams, lakes, and other water bodies or discharges in the City. Reviews and develops plans for storm water quality improvement projects. Performs all work in compliance with established City safety standards. Performs other work as assigned.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker. Undergraduate degree in Environmental Sciences and four (4) years of experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in field water quality sampling equipment and sample collection. Must possess a Motor Vehicle Operator’s license valid in the state of Missouri. Ability to lift and handle a minimum of 75 lbs. Ability to maneuver stream banks with difficult and uneven terrain. Ability to develop, interpret and communicate information from blueprints, plans and legal descriptions. Basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database computer application programs. Completion of City Supervisory Course or obtain within one (1) year.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of environmental engineering, particularly as they are related to water, wastewater, and storm water projects. Considerable knowledge of construction and maintenance methods, materials and equipment employed in environmental projects. Considerable knowledge of engineering design, surveying, drafting and specification preparation. Considerable skill in planning and organizing jobs and schedules. Background in the use of native plants and green infrastructure as it relates to treating storm water. Knowledge of the federal Clean Water Act, especially as it relates to NPDES Discharge Permits, MS4 Regulations, as well as applicable state and local policies. Ability to summarize data, prepare reports for submittal to regulatory agencies. Requires skilled and precise application of sampling techniques and accurate recording of results.

 

RATE:  $33.23/hr. to $34.98/hr. depending on qualifications and experience.

CITY OF ST. PETERS RESIDENT YOUTH—2014

Clerical #14000 and Laborer #14001

 

Some positions require working weekdays, after school, and school breaks, continuing through the summer.  Other positions require summer help only.

Positions are not to exceed 1500 hours in a 12 month period.

 

POSITIONS AVAILABLE:

 

CLERICAL #14000:  Salary $7.25/hr.

Resident Youth-Clerical, ages 16 to 23

Positions may include filing, copying, answering phones, data entry, sorting and distributing mail and other tasks as required. Customer service skills, cash handling experience and ability to use an electronic cash receipting system is desired for the Citizen Action Center.

 

 

LABORER #14001:  Salary range $7.68/hr. to $8.00/hr.

Resident Youth-Laborers, ages 18 to 23

Positions may include assisting with facility and vehicle maintenance, basic clean up, painting, light manual labor, cleaning of equipment, care of grounds, and other tasks as required.

 

Parks Department:  Resident Youth-Laborers to work May-September up to 40 hours per week or year round flexible schedule bi-weekly average not to exceed 28 hours per week. Will work on athletic fields, grounds maintenance, right-of-way mowing, park clean-up or building and pool maintenance.

 

Solid Waste Collection:  Resident Youth-Laborers year round bi-weekly average not to exceed 28 hours per week. Hours 6 AM till 2 PM and generally working outdoors, Monday through Friday. Knowledge of City streets helpful. Will work with department staff and/or other Resident Youth. Assists with weekly yard waste collection on Mondays and Wednesdays. Deliver, pickup and clean solid waste carts and assist with oversize item collection.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Must be a U.S. Citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker.

A resident of the City of St. Peters between the ages of 16 and 23 (Laborers 18-23).

Some positions may require a valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s License.

This position has responsibility of cooking for events in food service.  A person in this position also assists with the maintenance of food service area and equipment while maintaining a safe and sanitary environment. A person in this position could work in various food and beverage outlets throughout the clubhouse and/or the actual golf course itself.

The St. Peters Rec-Plex is looking for Lifeguards who are interested in working part-time. We have immediate openings morning and daytime hours between the hours of 5:30 a.m and 3:30 p.m. Training available if needed. Lifeguards are responsible for customer safety and enjoyment while using our aquatic facilities. Salary: $7.25/hr. plus shift premium of 50 cents for daytime hours Monday through Friday 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Labor Day and Memorial Day.
