Eastbound traffic on Mexico Road has narrowed to one lane approaching the intersection of Cave Springs Road and Muegge Road after a water main serving a fire hydrant broke early this morning, Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017.
The water main break will not cause any problems for water customers, but has impacted eastbound traffic in this area. Only one eastbound lane of traffic is getting through on Mexico Road just east of Cave Springs Estates as City of St. Peters utilities crews work to repair the broken water main. Eastbound traffic is being rerouted through the center turn lane in this area between Cave Springs Estates Drive and Cave Springs/Muegge.
Please drive carefully through the work zone.
Drivers can expect some lane closures and delays in this area of Mexico Road through the weekend and during road repairs. Repairs to the road are expected to take place on Monday, Aug. 14, when asphalt materials are available.
