Day Trip to Discover Kirkwood and Webster Treasures
Come with us on Friday, July 14 to tour a famous 1950’s Usonian Home, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for Kirkwood artists Russell and Ruth Kraus. Also, tour the historic Kirkwood Victorian home Mudd’s Grove.
Have lunch on your own at any of the fun restaurants in Downtown Kirkwood and afterwards we’ll visit the Kirkwood Farmer’s Market for produce and plants and then we’ll browse shops in downtown Kirkwood.
Before returning to St. Peters, we’ll visit the historic Hawken House in Webster Groves, built for Christopher Hawken’s bride in 1857.
The bus departs from the west parking lot of St. Peters City Hall, One St. Peters Centre Blvd. at 9 a.m. and returns at approximately 4 p.m. This tour involves quite a bit of walking, but mostly at your leisure. The cost is $77 and includes transportation, admissions and gratuities.
