Take a Day Trip to Fort Leonard Wood and Learn About this Military Base
Spend Tuesday, June 13, with us at Fort Leonard Wood. We’ll take a driving tour of the base, visiting buildings, facilities and activities. We’ll have the opportunity to dine with the soldiers in one of the post dining facilities.
After lunch, we’ll visit the John B. Mahaffey Museum of Engineering, Military Police, and Chemical Warfare. We’ll stroll among heavy equipment, barracks, a mess hall, and POW facility from the WW II era. We’ll be observing actual engineering and HAZMAT training sites.
The bus departs from the west parking lot of St. Peters City Hall, One St. Peters Centre Blvd. at 8 a.m. and returns to City Hall at approximately 5 p.m. This tour involves some walking. The cost is $81 and includes transportation, lunch, and gratuities.
