Due to the weather situation, for more information regarding the Ozark Division 1 Swimming Championship schedule go to www.ozarkswimming.org.

St. Peters’ Snow Removal Team can clear snow more quickly and place de-icing chemicals more evenly when cars and other obstructions are removed from the road. Please park cars on your driveway rather than on the street while snow removal operations are taking place. St. Peters residents are also asked to avoid unnecessary travel tonight and Sunday morning.

St. Peters residents can report snow related concerns to the St. Peters Snow Line at 636-477-6600, ext. 1738. If there is no answer, please leave a detailed message. The snow line is checked regularly.

If the concern is an emergency, call 911.

Be prepared for some scrumptious treats on this trip sponsored by St. Peters Cultural Arts Centre on Thursday, Feb. 12.

We’ll visit McArthur’s Bakery where you will be able to purchase special bakery goods. Next on our tour will be a visit to St. Louis County’s oldest brick house built in 1808 by Thomas Sappington for his bride, Mary Ann Kincaid. The home is fully furnished with period pieces.

Lunch will be at the Sappington Barn Tearoom and Restaurant. After lunch, our trip takes us to Walter Knoll’s Wholesale Floral Company on LaSalle Street in St. Louis where we’ll watch the FTD floral arrangers making Valentine arrangements. While there you can shop for potted plants, gifts, and arrangements at big discounts.

Before heading back to St. Peters, we’ll visit the Crown Candy Kitchen where you can treat yourself to an ice cream cone or other indulgence. This is an excellent opportunity to purchase some of their delicious Valentine chocolates to take home.

The cost of this tour is $76 per person and includes transportation, lunch, admissions, gratuities, and guide. There is quite a bit of walking with this trip, but mostly at your leisure.

For more information or to register for this tour, call ext. 1624 at 636.397.6903 or go online to www.stpetersmo.net/rec-connect.
